Fly Swatter!
Third and fourth graders love this multiplication game! Divide the class into two teams and line them
up in front of the board. Both sides of
the board have the same products scattered on them. The students at the front of each of the
lines have a fly swatter and are listening to the two factors being called out
by the teacher. The first student to
swat the correct product earns a point for his/her team. The team with the most points wins that
round. It can be an ongoing competition
in the class to motivate students to learn their basic multiplication
facts. It’s a hit!
